A big thanks to Marjorie & Essmus for sharing some images of the beautiful aisle runner we created for their June 26th wedding! The couple requested a special order black aisle runner with one of our ornate monogram designs in white and deep pink... it turned out beautifully and I'm so thankful for the photos so we could see the runner in action! Congratulations Marjorie & Essmus!
We love creating verse banners for cute little ring bearers & flower girls to carry! Released:1994
Verse 1
When I wake up in the morning, Lord
and the sun light hurts my eyes
and something without warning, Lord
bears heavy on my mind.
Then I look to You (then I look to You)
and the world's alright with me (and the world is alright).
Just one look to You
and I know its gonna be (its gonna be).
I think its gonna a lovely day.
Chorus
(a lovely day) lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day [4x]
Verse 2
When the day that lies ahead of me
seems impossible to face.
When someone else instead of me
always seems to know the way You know thats when I look to You.
Then I look to You and the world's alright (and the world's alright with me).
Then I look to You and the world is alright with me
Just one look to You (just one look to You and I know its gonna be)
(just one look to You) just one look to You and I know it's gonna be
(and I know its gonna be) I think it's gonna be a lovely day
Chorus
When I wake up in the morning Lord and the sun light hurts my eyes
and something without warning Lord You know that it bears heavy on my mind.
When the day that lies ahead of me seems impossible to face,
and there's someone else instead of me always seems to know the way.
Then I look to You and the world is alright (and the world is alright with me)
Then I look to You and the world is alright with me.
Just one look to You and I know it's gonna be...gonna be...gonna be
(a lovely day) lovely day, lovely day
Title: De-Lovely
De-Lovely is a 2004 American/British musical biographical film directed by Irwin Winkler. The screenplay by Jay Cocks is based on the life and career of Cole Porter, from his first meeting with Linda Lee Thomas in 1918 until moments before his death in 1964. It is the second biopic about the composer, following the sanitized Night and Day released in 1946.
It's De-Lovely
I feel a sudden urge to sing
The kind of ditty that invokes the Spring
So, control your desire to curse while I crucify the verse
This verse you've started seems to me the "Tin Pan-tithesis" of melody
So to spare you all the pain, I'll skip the darn thing and sing the refrain
Mi-mi-mi-mi, re-re-re-re, do-so-mi-do-la-si
The night is young, the skies are clear
So if you wanna go walkin', dear
It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely
I understand the reason why
You're sentimental, 'cause so am I
It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely
You can tell at a glance what a swell night this is for romance
You can hear, dear Mother Nature murmuring low "Let yourself go"
So please be sweet, my chickadee
And when I kiss ya, just say to me
"It's delightful, it's delicious, it's delectable, it's delirious,
It's dilemma, it's de limit, it's deluxe, it's de-lovely"
Time marches on and soon it's plain
You've won my heart and I lost my brain
It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely
Life seems so sweet that we decide
It's in the bag to get unified
It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely
See the crowd in that church
See the proud parson plopped on his perch
Get the sweet beat of that organ sealing our doom
Here goes the groom boom!
How they cheer and how they smile
As we go galopping down the aisle
It's divine, dear, it's de-vene, dear, it's de-wunderbar, it's de-victory
It's de-velop, it's de-vinner, it's de-voix, it's de-lovely
The night is tired and so we take
The few hours off to eat wedding cake
It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely
It feels so fine to be a bride
And how's the groom while he's slightly fried
It's divineful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely
To the pop of champagne off we hop in our plush little plane
Till a bright light through the darkness cosily calls Niagara Falls
Well, my love, our day's complete
What a beautiful bridal suite
It's de-reamy, it's de-rousy, it's de-reverie, it's de-rhapsodie
It's de-regal, it's de-royal, it's de-ritz, it's de-lovely
We settle down as man and wife
To solve the riddle called married life
It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely

Ashley & Seregy were married in August in Atlanta, Georgia and had a stunning 'fairytale' wedding. Ashley contacted us with a picture she found of this verse... so we used it as inspiration, put our own spin on it, and LOVE how it turned out! The couple's beautiful day was captured by the incredibly talented Shawna Herring. Congratulations Ashley & Seregy!

Hey there,
this will be the last mix for this year, since I will finally finished my semester and be going on vacation very soon!
The first track of this volume features an artist, which wasn't around too much lately, but has now finally come back with yet another amazing vocal track. The second track is pretty well known by now I suppose, but nevertheless brilliant, so it definitely had to be in here. The last track was rightfully featured on the last ASOT and damn, you just gotta love Sarah's vocals! :D
So I hope you enjoy, have a great holiday and all the best for the new year. See you in 2011! :D
Title: Alex Ross featured on Cartoon Network's Toonami
Nelson Alexander Ross - Toonami Interview

Comic book artist, illustrator, painter, and plotter. Known for his photorealism and has worked with both DC and Marvel comics.
Talks about Superheros, Art, Comics and his favorite Hero. Who is your favorite?
There is so much to do around the holidays (like finishing up my grad school applications, for one thing)! Some of the things on this list are San Francisco specific, but there are giant Christmas trees and Nutcracker performances in most places, and what better location for a cookie exchange than your own house!
{click image to enlarge} 1. You could buy one of those chocolate advent calendars at the drug store, or you could make your own. Directions for this one at Paper Bella Studio's blog, or check out Martha B's post about advent calendars over at Nibs. 2. If you are in the Bay Area, you have to take a trip up to 21st St, between Church and Sanchez. Tom Taylor and Jerry Goldstein (Tom and Jerry!) put together one of my favorite Christmas displays ever. That's a real tree in their yard! (sorry for the crummy photo) 3. I love having an afternoon tea. This year, my mom, younger sister and I are going to have the Christmas tea at the Palace Hotel's Garden Court. $40 for adults, $32 for children. 4. I have a memory of going to a holiday sing-along at Davies Symphony Hall. Any of their Christmas performances would be worth going to. Also, lots of cities have sing-along Messiah, performances, so you can test your vocal abilities with the Hallelujah chorus. 5. Go see the big tree downtown! Any downtown! 6. I never get sick of The Nutcracker. Even if you're not a fan of ballet (what?!), I say the music alone is worth it. 7. Host a cookie exchange! What better way to get ready for your New Year's resolution than a cookie smorgasbord? Here are a few recipes to try (they're new to me, except for the chocolate malt sandwich cookies, which I can tell you are worth the effort): World Peace Cookies Chocolate Malt Sandwich Cookies Chocolate-Coconut Bars Pine Nut Drop Cookies Linzer Cookies
Martha Stewart is featuring a new cookie everyday during the holidays, so that would be a good place to look for recipes, too.
For even more ideas, take a look at Jordan's list over at Oh Happy Day.
Update! How could I have left making a gingerbread house out of the list of Christmas things to do?! Don't worry - this modern take on the classic, via LotusHaus, reminded me.
...coming up on Monday, a list of great gifts under $50.

**LYRICS**
(yawn) Thank you, feels good wakin up... lay back... (???)
I wipe the cold from my eye
Stationed in Antartica,coldest ni99a alive
Flow is Armeggedon much like Cruise from the Sky
Before you drive you have to wipe locusts off your rides
But i'm warming up, oceans is on the rise
I be Ocean with 11 associates on my side
Colder than Chris Martin guitarin'- would look at all tthese spies?
But they can't see me, I took out their eyes
Replace with some me's, so all they see is he's
But I will never run, not even if they cry
See I can never fall, not even down their cheek
But I will always ball (bawl),let's see who the first to blink
And I dont need no passwords cause I dont need to cheat
But you can say your last words
and you can rest in peace
I'm the hook after your last verse I'm also like the beat
But I will turn it down so you can go to sleep
You can go to sleep
Said you can go to sleep
Now you can go to sleep
Said you can go to sleep
Good night, good night
Good night, good night
Real ni99as up again
Yes, you can go to sleep
Said you can go to sleep
Now you can go to sleep
Said you can go to sleep
Good night, good night
Good night, good night
Official ni99as at they job and
doin (???)
Ni99as poppin off, phony ni99as noddin off
When I searched around to find beautiful bridal gowns made by Indie designers, my search led me to Joan Shum Bridal. It was exactly what I was looking for. These stunning gowns, deemed "Bella Tea," "White Dahlia," "Love in the Mist" and "Lady Catherine" respectively, were my favorite dresses in her collection. Joan Shum is The Bridal Wishlist's pick for Indie Designer of the Year 2008. She has quite a few amazing designs and you can see her collection here.
With this wedding board, I tried to blend classic elegance with a touch of modern minimalism. Instead of elaborate floral centerpieces, simple potted miniature evergreens line banquet tables. Classic white linen napkins are monogrammed with bold black thread. Envelopes are addressed with simple calligraphy. This would be an excellent wedding in which to ask your bridesmaids to wear a black evening dress of their choosing.
Mood: elegant, modern twist Palette: black, white, a touch of green

...A book I actually liked!!! I know! Crazy, right? Well, before you think the book is about gene splicing or the political maneuvers of the Shining Path, I'll let you know this book is a work of fiction! And it's not even by Dostoevsky!!!
This was a "honeymoon read" that I didn't get around to reading. I mean, it has the perfect title for honeymoon fare: A Happy Marriage. I picked this up right before the insanity of the wedding thinking it would be a great lakeside read. Wrong.
Luckily, as we were listening to NPR the afternoon after we arrived in Idaho, Terry Gross was interviewing Rafael Yglesias about his new book, A Happy Marriage. I listened long enough to find out the book is about his late wife's battle with cancer and his inner turmoil with the nasty leftovers of an affair. So, um, yeah, this book was probably not what I needed to read mere days into my marriage. So I tucked it back in my suitcase for later.
"Later" turned out to be one of the most crazy weeks of the semester so far, so instead of doing my homework, I read this book. It was lovely. It recounts a beginning and an end of a marriage. This marriage was far from perfect and I really liked that. Margaret and Enrique (Rafael'spseudonym) are not perfect, either. They are infuriating at times! The book is brutally descriptive about the dying process for the individual suffering and their family, as well. It's visceral and raw, both the beginning and the end of this marriage.
Rafael needed some absolution for his adulterous ways, so he wrote this book. I'm so glad he did.

Title: Atreyu - Wait For You (with lyrics)
Atreyu new album download:
http://www.evolucionterminal.blogspot.com/
Lyrics:
It started with a kiss and turned out something else.
The blood courses in through my veins I think of no one else.
I never believed in much but I believe in this.
Im incomplete without you, Id kill to taste your kiss.
Im lost and lonely scared and hiding.
Blind without you.
When the the world comes crashing down and the skies begin to fall,
Ill wait for you
When the days grow old and long and my skins turns into stone,
Ill wait for you
When the pain it seems too much and my heart starts beating out of touch I dont need a thing,
Ill wait for you
It's all so different now, emotions burn me out.
I have a lifeless touch, this distance leaves no doubt.
I fear it all too much but part of me believes.
As the years pass away you made me recognize,
Im lost and lonely, scared and hiding.
Blind without you.
When the the world comes crashing down and the skies begin to fall,
Ill wait for you
When the days grow old and long and my skins turns into stone,
Ill wait for you
When the pain it seems too much and my heart starts beating out of touch I dont need a thing,
Cause Ill wait for you...
Yeah..
Cause Ill wait for you...
When the the world comes crashing down and the skies begin to fall,
Ill wait for you
When the days grow old and long and my skins turns into stone,
Ill wait for you
When the pain it seems too much and my heart starts beating out of touch I dont need a thing.
I know I dont need a thing.
Ill wait for you.
