Tonight my little Brother went to his Senior Prom....
When did this happen? I feel like just last week I went to my senior prom! Can you find me in the pic?
MHS Senior Prom 2004..
p.s. I'm the one in the pink..but you already knew that!
It made me think back on my own Senior Prom fondly. I had a great time at mine! Plus I was blessed with a wonderful group of friends that I had all through highschool that I still keep in contact with today! Just to name a few...
Brian (pinstripes kneeling on left) - talked to him today
Becca (above Brian sticking her tongue out) - went to her wedding last week. Bridesmaid in my wedding
Scott (behind me) Texted with him today
Laura (holding knee of guy in chair) BFF in highschool (and now) and still really close friend today. She took all the pics at Kate's wedding. So saw here alot last month
Dawn (dark blue) one of my BFFs now (and back then) saw her last week at Becca's wedding. Another Bridesmaid in my own wedding
and of course...
Kyle (I'm holding his shoulders) - I did marry him about a year and a half ago ;-)
Oh....wait....wasn't this post about my brother? Right....

Title: Cliff house at Quantum Leaps Lodge
Finished on July 22nd, 2008 this is our newest, unique accommodations (14 x 16ft) great for individuals, couples, groups, and families. Situated on the edge of the cliff, overlooking what we think now is the best view of the River, it is a unique 2 story building. It is an open concept with bunk beds on each floor. On the upper floor there are two bathrooms (one with a shower, sink, toilet, and one with a sink and toilet). There are two bunk beds (one single over single, and one single over double/futon bed). On the lower floor there is a small kitchen with a sink/stove/fridge unit, a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and all other kitchen amenities including coffee, tea, and eggs. There is a great round table and breakfast bar with stools to sit at to eat or gaze at the River. On this floor also are two bunkbeds with the same configuration as on the upper floor. To access the bathrooms and upstairs from the lower floor, you go outside and up the stairs. There is also a unique outhouse 5m away from the cliff house. There is also a small barbeque on the deck and outside patio chairs. The first family who stayed in the Cliff House said it was like staying in a nice big Tree House! PLEASE NOTE: because of the low price we offer you; to keep this price low, we simply ask that you make your own bed (linens, pillows, duvet, and towels are provided).

As most of you know my new ER job has monopolized my time. In the short time I have spent there I have been exposed to so many new and different things that I have never seen before on the inpatient unit. I was thinking today that I need to figure out a way to "iron out" some of the rusty spots of my nursing practice. Some small thing I can do to give myself an edge, to make my trainingsolidify that much more. One thing IMMEDIATELY jumped into my head.
Drugs.
I have always struggled with medications. How each one works, why it works, what it does, what the SIDE EFFECTS are. I always find myself running to the drug book to look up stuff before I go into a patients room, thus wasting time. That's not going to fly in the ED. So I have decided to spend a short time 4-5 days a week to read up on a drug. I am going to start with the drugs I most commonly use then branch out. If I give a drug during a shift at work I am unfamiliar with, I will review that as well (obviously). The obvious choice for me was to work this into my blog. So several times a week you will be seeing a "Drug of the Day" post on Little Rhody Girl. For those of you in Nursing, I hope you find this helpful, for those of you that are not, feel free to ignore these posts completely.

Title: President Bush Visits Yankee Stadium
President George Bush visits Yankee Stadium weeks after September 11th, in October 2001.
This weekend three of the most incredible women I know will be hosting my baby shower. I'm so excited about it and I know they've done a fantastic job! I've had a really hard time just sitting back and not doing much to help out though (you know me... I love party planning) so... I whipped up this sweet little banner as my contribution to the shower (of course they all keep saying my contribution is the baby!) and I adore how it turned out. At the I.D.O Studio we've done a lot of items for events other than weddings, but nothing for a baby shower yet. Event banners will definitely be something I plan on highlighting once we reopen in January. In fact, I have a few new things in mind for the reopening... so stay tuned!

Title: Joe Cocker - A Little Help From My Friends - Woodstock 1969
Happy 40th Woodstock!
EDIT 4: Before I get another DMCA filed against me, I'd like to say I have put this online as I belive this can be counted as fair use, as it criticises Warner Bros. Remastered DVD version. I really hope someone at Warner sees this, and by the time the Blu-ray reissue is released, the audio problems that were encountered on the DVD release have been resolved!
EDIT 3: Ok, it was recorded on Friday 6th May 1988 (Thankyou TELETEXT! or back in the day, ORACLE!!)
EDIT 2: Looking at some of the adverts, it can't have been the 1982 recording, so the next record I have for channel 4 ever showing the film was in 08/1994 (MM/YYYY) So the quality is still pretty good despite its age! Can anyone confirm this date?
EDIT: I think this was recorded off Channel 4 on 05/11/1982 DD/MM/YYYY --- Not bad for a 25 year old VHS recording now is it?
Here is something I found on a VHS tape. From the film Woodstock (1970). Joe Cocker - A Little Help From My Friends
I have seen what looks like a remastered version on youtube, but the backing singers seem weird, I think only one of them is coming through and is too loud! This version has both backing singers and sounds pretty descent! :-)
This particular copy of Woodstock was recorded from Channel 4 (UK) in the late 80's (if anyone has an exact date, that would be nice) just a few years before I was born! The quality is excellent!
Thanks for watching!

I am so excited about this new feature that begins tomorrow on Snippet & Ink! Every Saturday, I will be featuring a beautiful real wedding. I know that inspiration boards can be very helpful in coming up with a look and feel for a wedding, but sometimes it also helps to see how everything pulls together in an actual event. Check in tomorrow for the first Real Wedding Saturday on Snippet & Ink, with a wedding photographed by the talented Elizabeth Messina! Happy Friday!
