Update! I know the images are missing (thanks a lot Blogger), but until I get a chance to do all my fancy cutting and pasting, etc., I wanted to re-post this because some people have asked me for the information about some of the items. I'll get around to fixing the image problem eventually, but in the meantime, if you're curious you can click on the links to see what I'm talking about.
Everyone has a wish list this time of year (or any time of year, I guess), and even though they might not admit it, everyone has what I like to call a "Santa Baby" wish list, too. You know, those things that are beyond the realm of possibility as far as how likely you are to ever receive them as a gift. Or own them, period. So this is my Santa Baby wish list this year, alongside more realistic possible gift items.
Strut.
Left: These are on my Santa baby list because they're the ultimate fantasy shoe. Remember when Carrie got her hands on them in the Vogue accessories closet? {Manolo Blahnik patent leather Mary Janes, $555}
Right: I would be happy to get a pair of these, in any and every color, to keep in my purse. How can you beat comfortable AND cute. {Sue London ballet flats, $134}

Left: What can I say? Their ad campaign sold me. {Nikon D40X, $700}
Right: Wouldn't it be nice to have this, instead of trying to balance your camera on a stack of magazines or the hood of your car? {Gorillapod tripod, $25}
Trip.
Left: Who wants to feel like royalty? Me too! {Hilton Maldives Resort, $1,500}
Right: Cross country skiing has never appealed to me, but a weekend at this historic home would probably be enough to change my mind. {Frank Lloyd Wright's Seth Peterson cottage, $275 per weekend night}
Read.
Left: I would feel really cool if I got this surprise in the mail every three months. {subscription to The Thing Quarterly, $120 for four issues}

Bloom.
Left: This isn't a fantasy because of the price. It's a fantasy because A) I live in an apartment and B) I live outside its ideal growing zone. Oh but I love them. {dogwood tree, $60 for 25}
Right: I love most flowers (although hot house roses, not so much) but I have a special place in my heart for white hydrangeas. {white hydrangea plant, $55}
Scent.

Left: A solid perfume is so convenient. And less likely to explode all over your purse. {Marc Jacobs Gardenia solid, $55}
Chop.
Left: My dream kitchen features copper pots, marble countertops, and a set of these. {Shun Ken Onion 11-piece knife block set, $1,300}

Write.

Sweet.

Warm.

Left: Doesn't this blanket look just right for cuddling up by the fire with some cocoa? Of course, between the time I found it and now, it appears to have sold out, but they have another one that's similarly wonderful. {Lands' End plaid throw, $70}
Tote.
Right: I dream of one day finding the perfect bag, and loving it so much, and having it be so classic, that I never have to buy another one. {Prada calfskin hobo, $1,300}
Left: This clutch is so unique: it's funky enough to be cool, but simple enough to work with just about any outfit. {Betsy Wise round buckle clutch, $120}
Play.
Right: My nephew would go bonkers for this airplane! Oh how I wish I could afford to spoil him that much! {Flying Ace pedal plane, $350}
Left: These little cars are so freaking cool! They come apart, with pieces you can interchange with other models. My nephew loves them, but I think they're cool enough for grown ups, too. {Automoblox vehicle, $35}

After Edan labored for a year to complete his new project Echo Party he was very happy with the outcome but wanted it to have a visual accompaniment to help compliment his live DJ set. He approached Tom Fitzgerald who also happens to be Cut Chemists go to video guy and film archivist who works for the The Silent Theatre in LA. What has been created in nothing short of a perfect visual marriage for the unmistakably unique album. There will be a full length version for the whole album with a party at The Silent Theatre in LA to debut the full length video in early 2010 (and yes Mr. Edan will be DJing).
