Board #14: The Little Prince

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is one of those children's books that can be enjoyed by adults at least as much as by kids. If you haven't read it, it's wonderful.

Board #14: The Little Prince

There are so many whimsical elements to this story. The things that stand out to me as points of inspiration are the red rose, the stars, and France itself. I also included the bird topper as an ode to the flock of birds that takes the Little Prince on his journey, the lanterns are for Lamplighter, and the map is for the Geographer.

Mood: simple and sweet
Palette: red, white, pale pink and blue
